๐Ÿ“„Step 1: Fill out the Mod Interest Form and someone will contact you to set up a time for a screening

Note: Depending on our current number of moderators, this form may not always be accepting responses. If we are not currently recruiting new moderators, but you would still like to express interest, please email [email protected] or [email protected]

โ˜ŽStep 2: Go through a quick 15-20 minute phone screening with a staff member so that we can get to know you better

This is a low-pressure, brief chat between you and a staff member so that we can both introduce ourselves and find out if moderation would be a good fit for you! You're welcome to also send us a brief resume, but this is NOT required.

๐Ÿ’ปStep 3: Attend a virtual training to learn about how to moderate and use our Slack channel

Once accepted as a mod, you will receive detailed information via email about when and how this training will take place. In the past, training has involved 2-3 incoming mods on a Zoom call with 1 staff member, and the session typically lasts from 30-45 minutes. Training is scheduled on a mutually agreeable date between all parties (so no need to worry about missing training!)

๐Ÿ˜Step 4: Start moderating!

Staff will confirm that you have the proper access to our moderation platform on Slack. As you begin moderating, you may have lots of questions about specific types of situations that were not covered in training. You are encouraged to message a Community Ops staff member with any questions you may have. We don't bite!
